Our little baby Logan is 2 weeks 3 days old today and is 10 lbs already. He has been such a great baby. He has his days and nights figured out. So I feel very blessed that I am not as sleep deprived as I thought I should have been. He eats and sleeps every 2 1/2-3 hours.
We took him to his 1 week appt. last week and he had already surpassed his birth weight being 9 lbs 3 oz. The Dr told us they like to have the newborns be at their birth weight at least after the 1st week and since he was doing great we didn't need to make a 2 week appt. and just wait for his 2 month appt. for his second set of vaccines and such. Well that was exciting except our little guy caught a cold and being first time parents (honestly, me being the over-protective worry wart of a mother- got him in today for a check up.) I love our pediatrician, Dr. Araja - he was actually my Dr. when I was in high school and have been blessed to have him here in Grand Junction now to be my and our baby's Dr.
I have been doing great being alone with our little guy at home, we do of course miss Daddy. It does make our evenings and weekends extra special and sweet when we get to have him home with us. The Golden Retrievers are doing awesome and loving their baby. They get very excited and protective when we have guests come over to visit them and their new baby.
Logan has been able to meet both sets of grandparents, Uncle Matt in Iraq via Skype, and his Auntie Brittany and cousin Brennan that live here in Grand Junction. As well as his Auntie Nicole (my sister) and his Uncle Chris and cousins Aiden & Audra. We also got to introduce him to my Great Aunt Glenda and Cousin Kendall and got a fun photo shoot from Uncle Steve. They all loved him and thought he was a keeper of course!
We are planning to venture to our first trip out to church this Sunday to meet a lot of our close friends and church family members.
