Baby Bean is growing, and I am not showing

Today I am 18 weeks preggers.  I am still feeling great and trying to stay strong against the temptations of the office holiday goodies and food that we are receiving from all of our customers.  I am thankfully surrounded by a group of men that love to eat so I let them swarm around the new gift basket of goodies (especially the huge box of Enstrom's Almond Toffee or Candy Bark).  If there is any left I am sure to take a little sample but walk away strongly.  The baby is 5 1/2 inches long and weighs 7 oz; in equivalence to a green pepper.  Which the baby books say the baby will start growing a 1/2 inch a week from here on out.  Since James (6'1") and I (6'0") are both tall, I think our baby has pretty good odds of being a tall one as well.  When I was born, I was a  9 lbs 5 oz and 21 inches long.  I of course hope that had something to do with the fact that I was 2 weeks past my due date.

James and I have finished most of the nursery.  We are planning to purchase a dresser and a changing table pad to put on top.  The room is painted, the border is up, and the crib and bedding is assembled.

My youngest brother is getting married this next coming week and a lot of family is coming for the first time to Grand Junction. So we were glad this will be the chance to show family our house, nursery, and have an early family Christmas.  I am still in anticipation of feeling the baby kick, but I know it may take a few more weeks.  I am not showing still and have maintained my pre-pregnancy weight.  A lot of friends and ladies at church are reassuring me to enjoy every moment especially now when I feel great and am able to feel comfortable.  I hope my same figure holds out just one more week so I can still look the same in my Bridesmaid dress as I did at the last dress fitting.

Please continue your prayers for our baby and the pregnancy.  I would love to continue a super healthy pregnancy.  James and I are getting more and more excited of the amazing blessings that God has blessed us with.  The nursery has helped us realize there is going to be a baby in there sooner than we can really grasp.  It is crazy to think in just a couple of weeks I will be 20 weeks and at the halfway mark with our pregnancy.
