We had our Dr.'s appt yesterday and I have made progress. I am 2 cm dilated. Which I was sort of shocked because I wasn't aware that I had any contractions or noticed the feeling of them at least.
James and I are planning to make sure we have our hospital bag and such in order just in case. We are pre-planners by heart and know that our little Logan will be a fun and great way to teach us our life lesson of being more flexible for sure. It is getting harder to be patient and of course a little more anxious and excited knowing that there is proof that Logan will be here in the near future. Thankfully I have to be reminded that God's timing is the best timing. No rush:o) It has been harder to get comfortable to sleep at night. I usually slept on my right side, but now I can only handle sleeping on my left. Plus, I am excited to someday be able to sleep on my back again. I sleep with a total of 8 pillows at night now. Poor James has to put up with me looking like I am living in a fort.
We have only 2 more birthing classes left and those will consist of asking a guest OBGYN any questions we may have and then the last class will be a review of everything we have learned in the class. So we won't be missing out on anything major if we don't get to finish.
Another really neat option we will have is for one of the instructors of the birthing classes is working toward her final stages of becoming a Doula. So we have the opportunity to have her in the delivery room coaching and supporting us for free! Needless to say, these birthing classes have already really paid off for great opportunities for us to get more educated on our options in labor and delivery and defiantly more prepared. Plus I have really enjoyed the breathing and focus/relaxation techniques we have learned in the classes.
Please continue to pray for patience on our part for God's timing. And also a healthy and safe labor and delivery of Logan. This whole pregnancy has been just an amazing proof of what God's blessings are and yet still to come.
