29 Weeks & Dr. Appt update

Well I just got back from my 29 week appt...turns out I get the opportunity to take the 3 hour Gestational Diabetes test. On my previous post "no news is good news" well turns out the lab didn't send my results on to my Dr. to have in my chart so "no news", means someone forgot. The Dr. said my sugars were elevated to 142, which qualifies me, high enough to do the double check test. Which they said on a great note, my blood work came back perfect. The Dr. said as soon as she gets the results she will let me know either way. So tomorrow morning I am going in first thing to drink more of the syrup orange drink and get my blood tested after the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd hour. So I will be able to bring some reading material to enjoy in the mean time. So please pray for good results for this test. If I do have Gestational Diabetes, I will be put on a strict diet, which I am sure won't kill anybody. It is hard not to be a little bummed because I had thought I had been doing so good. The Dr. said I have been doing good, I have only gained a pound but I am sure there are other factors involved. Our biggest thing is we just want a healthy baby boy and a continued healthy pregnancy, so I will do whatever is necessary of me to make that happen.

On a different note, James and I went to Ouray, CO this past weekend to celebrate our 5 year anniversary early and decided to make it our last real vacaction before Baby Bean is here. I wanted to be able to walk around and site see before I get too big or uncomfortable. So we got to spend a relaxing weekend getting massages (prenatal massage for me) and visiting the beautiful Hot Springs and scenery's that Ouray has to offer. I of course only soaked in the cooler Hot Springs but it was a great time to say the least.

So tomorrow I will be 30 weeks. I will be sure to update the picture as well as the results on the test as soon as I get word. Please keep prayers coming. Lovies!

That is a bummer that you have to do the test again. I had to do the second one too but everything turned out fine on the second go around. Hope you get great results! I got really sleep in the 2nd test. I guess all that sugar gave me a rush and then crashed my system. You look great by the way!

I had to do the test a second time too and as it turned out I was fine. The test made me sleepy too. If they have a comfy place for women that need to be on a baby heart-rate monitor see if they will let you hang out there. My doctor's office let me sit and nap in a private room with a recliner as long as nobody else needed it!
