1 more week to see Baby Bean, and updates

This past week has been the best so far.  I only got sick once and that was due to getting a nasty whiff while taking the trash out.  Good smells are great! But the bad smells are, watch out!

Next week, we will get to meet  Dr. Strong for the first time, see our Baby Bean on the ultrasound, and hear the heartbeat.  I am looking forward to this mostly just to feel more reality that we are pregnant.  Besides the obvious signs and all of the hormones that have flooded my body.  (Ask James; poor guy, I have been rather emotional lately...I thank God I have been truly blessed with a very loving and patient husband.)

Our recent updates are we have found a dear close friend to watch our baby after I return from 12 weeks of maternity leave.  We had hoped I would be able to stay home after the baby comes, but realistically we just won't be able to afford it.  We sat down with our budget and we will be able to pay off a lot of debt before the baby comes, but we wouldn't have any flexibility to do anything else.  i.e. visit friends or family.  And we realize when we have a kiddo ~ friends and especially family will want to see us but most likely our baby even more.  We have been praying about it and it just isn't really possible right now.  Plus, I love my job, so I feel truly blessed to have the opportunity to return after our baby is 3 months old, especially with this economy as it is.  And most importantly James and I have peace about our decision.

The baby books say our baby is now 2 inches long and about the weight equivalent of two sugar packets.  It also says in the next 9 weeks the baby with increase 30 times in weight and almost triple in length.  It is so amazing that all of this is going on and the changes week by week!
